So, I notice that we have a post-count system. (custom ranks) I also notice, we don't have a reputation system. It's a kind of system where members can rep those who have rep-worthy posts. (they can be either positive or negative or neutral depending on the post) This system will be useful, because for the members who post something that may be agreeable or funny can be up repped and for those who post harsh and cruel things can be down repped for their actions.
The system consists of points and power. The more positive points you have, the more positive rep power you have. The more negative points you have, the more negative rep power you have.
The system: 0- User is just chillin' in the village doing D-ranks at this point. 10- Use saved a kitten from a tree! Yay! 30- User has completed a tough C-rank mission! 75- User is far along on the distinguished path of a ninja. 150- User has a spectacular chakra aura going on. 250- User just finished a high-profile B-rank mission...and went unscathed. 350- User has a pricey dish named after them at Ichiraku Ramen. 450- User completed an A-rank mission and saved the forum yet again. 550- User strikes fear and awe in the fragile hearts of Genins. 650- User is one of the most respected ninja in the tri-village area. 750- User completed an S-rank mission on the way to the bathroom. 900- User just might be Kage someday. 1250- User is listed in every clan's bingo book under AWESOME. 2000- User is the subject of legends and tales that shall be passed on for generations to come.
The numbers are reputation points and if the points get to that number or past it, you get the custom rank. The rep power which is a number is used for repping. The number determines how much points you give them which add or subtract to their reputation points.

This is an awesome idea. I've seen rep systems on other forums, but your idea beats all of them, this is epic win.
"Completed an S-rank mission... on the way to the bathroom." Is my favorite one XD
I posted a bunch of ideas a while back, people thought they were good, and should be used, but they were never added.

And a color may be added. What I mean is, that when you post your post has a black background! Well if you have more points your posts should have a different, more recognizable color. So if you have 500 rep your post will have a blue color, while if you have -20 your post will have a black color! That way we can see if the post is worth reading, if we're in a hurry. Though it is recommended to read ALL posts.

@Uchiha: Yea, the system can't be made unless the administrators make it happen. I would like this system to happen, so users can experience it, but at the same time, we can't abuse the system.
@Konohamaru: That is a great idea, but doing that, may make the users feel embarrased about their reputation and they may feel that they are being treated unfairly than others who are fortunate to have good rep. Everyone should be treated fairly, we wouldn't want them to feel bad for themselves. That may lead to them leaving the forum, possibly.
The reputation system consists of green/red/grey boxes. The green box represent a good rep. Your reputation points start out as zero, which means your rep power is going to be zero as well. Now keep in mind, every 5o points of reputation, you gain 1 rep power. If you have a rep power of zero, and you decide to rep another user, that user will get a neutral rep, meaning it doesn't effect their reputation points. That means, if the user was to have a rep power of zero, and they up rep a user, that user won't gain any reputation points because the person who repped him/her had a rep power of zero. Same goes for trying to down rep somebody, that user won't lose any points because the person had a rep power of zero.
For example, lets say, you have 5 reputation points. If somebody with a rep power of 3, up rep you, you will now have 8 reputation points. If that person was to down rep you, you will have 2 reputation points. If a person has a rep power of zero and tries to up rep you or down rep you, you will still have 5 reputation points, because zero can't effect any number if you're adding or subtracting.
To add on about the color icon box(es) thing. You get one green box when you start out with no reputation points. If you was to get down repped from someone who has a rep power of 1, you will now have -1 reputation points, which will possibly make your green box turn into a grey box, meaning a neutral box. Now from there, if you was to keep getting down repped, you will soon get a red box, meaning that majority of your reputation points are negative. If you get a red box, that means you have a -x amount of points.
You can gain more than one box with either red or green, not grey. You gain a box for every +2 rep power. For example, when you start out, you have a rep power of zero with one green box. If you get to 50 reputation points, you will have a rep power of 1. If you get 50 points again, you get a rep power of 2, which gives you another green box, so you will have 2 green boxes. To sum it all up, every 100 reputation points, you get another green box. For every -100 reputation points, you get another red box.

I think the current rank system is enough, actually.... But then again I might be wrong....
