I have a couple questions about Susano'o...

First off, do you control Susano'o like a suit of armor? So far I haven't seen Itachi or Sasuke have to physically move to make Susano'o attack, so do they control it like they control Amaterasu, and just bend it to their will?

Secondly, is it the glowing chakra or the bones/armor of Susano'o that protect you? Because otherwise Sasuke's first Susano'o would have been pretty weak, and it would have been very lucky for none of the other ninja's attacks to not have penetrated the ribcage.

Thirdly, if you run up walls, on the ceiling, etc. Will it stay with you normally? because it looks like the fourth boss on The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, where only the base of the spinal chord and up is shown(The rest is under sand.). Is Susano'o similar when it's complete? Sasuke's didn't look like it was attached to the ground, but Itachi's did.

There were a couple more questions I had, but they sorta slipped my mind as I typed these XD Any help in answering these would be appreciated. Thanks.

I personally see Susanoo as a puppet rather than a summon. The reason is because, even though it has prominent bones, ribs, muscles etc., it feasts on the user's chakra when its summoned, unlike other summons which doesn't need user's chakra after summoning.

Susanoo acts as an armour around the users body and follows alongwith the user wherever he moves. A prominent example is, Itachi moved towards Sasuke on the verge of his death to poke his forehead. At that time, Susanoo moved along with him when he moved.



The chakra coat on Susanoo does basic protection job and can hold off punches and kicks from normal shinobis. The ribs are strong enough to to snap an attacking kunai. But ofcourse, its no match against extremely strong ninjutsus (Mei's acid mist) and NinTaijutsus (A's Lightning Armour). But the deadliest defence of Susanoo comes from its elite defensive techniques. It includes Itachi's Yata Mirror and Sasuke's Shield of Bow. Itachi's Yata Mirror is the pinnacle of defense and Sasuke's Shield of Bow was also impressive to save Sasuke against Danzou's Vacuum Blast attacks even when amplified using Baku's suction ability.



No idea to be frank. We have to wait till Kishi gives some insight over that.

Just before itachi died, after defeating orochimaru, he was walking towards sasuke in order to "take his eyes". While walking forward his susano'o stayed up enough so that the mirror was blocking everything sasuke threw at it with ease. So basically the act of walking forward didn't change the fact that susano'o was surrounding him. Perhaps if they jumped into the air it would even have a complete form? Who knows really, But I think sasuke would be able to at least stay grounded and move around constantly while still using susano'o.

If you read through this chapter carefully you can see the functions of susanoo's movements. Just look closely at each image with itachi in it really.

I imagine so. It would be a huge flaw if the user couldn't do anything except control Susano'o whilst it's active. It's a bit like when Naruto learnt the RasenShuriken and was then told that he should never use it again, a bit of a waste.

I know it moves with the user, and when Sasuke was smashed through the wall by the Seven Swordsman guy who was a guard to Mizukage, it lifted into the air and smashed sideways into the wall, matching Sasuke's horozontal position. It was the in the air, above water, and on the walls and ceiling that confused me.

(Apparently, stuff can leave Susano'o, but can't enter. So the user can probably use most ninjutsu/genjutsu/ninja tools while Susano'o is active.)

I presume so... If a person with Uchiha and Senju blood can do Izanagi which was done by Rikudo Sennin, then RS should be able to do everything that an Uchiha or a Senju should have been able to do. Just my opinion.

Sasuke is shown using Amaterasu while using Susanoo against Raikage. That's proof enough
