Is something like that stated in manga by Kisame or someone that states that kisame is inferior to Itachi??
And this is from narutopedia..
"Despite his pride in his own strength, Kisame Hoshigaki, Itachi's partner in Akatsuki, acknowledged Itachi as the stronger of the two."

Yes, I agree that he is stronger than kisame but is there any statement to prove this from manga, not from Narutopedia??

Here acknowledgement of the more powerful means, Kisame does the dirty work and Itachi usually makes the decisions. If you check their fights like Asuma and Kurenai VS them, he just asked Kisame to retreat when Maito Gai showed up and Kisame did that without saying anything.
Similarly, Itachi asked Kisame to retreat when Jiraya showed up and he did that too without questioning. If you ask me, if Itachi and Kisame would have ganged upon Jiraya at that time, Jiraya would have probably lost the battle and they would have gained Naruto. That shows that Itachi was the superior/leader among them.
Usually, superior among the team is decided mutually among the two team members. The very fact that Itachi was superior states that Kisame acknowledged Itachi are the stronger of the two. Else, he would never let a weakling be his superior... I hope that explains their theory...
But any way, you cannot deny the fact that Itachi was far superior to Kisame in all the respects except perhaps for brute strength.

Manga statement please? I thought you would find that yourself... Any way... Itachi : Kisame, Come. Kisame retreats without any question... After retreat Kisame asks Itachi.... When a senior commands you something, you do the work and then you ask why you did it... When your junior or someone at par asks you something, you first ask for the reason and after his justification, you proceed with the work if you think its justified... Don't ask why... Manga said otherwise, its as if i say now, when Sasuke first met Itachi when Itachi was after Naruto, he let him escape Sasuke could have killed him, manga states otherwise please dont say things like this _________________

He laid down his life protecting Konoha and Sasuke. Why on earth would he go fighting against a Sannin who is a respected Konoha ninja ? He never fought Kakashi with the intent to fight. He just wanted to clear his way and wanted to incapacitate him from attacking him again and again. Kakashi is a strong ninja and only an MS technique could have incapacitated him. If only he would have, Kakashi would have been long dead by now.. He can kill Jiraya any day with his powers. Most of Jiraya's powers would not work against Itachi's MS techniques. and when was Jiraiya fighting Sasuke? He could have said lets go we wont fight now, he could have said we wont attack them yet, but Kisame stated i am no match for him maybe you are, and Itachi said then he may lose as well if i remember corectlly
