i have to say my favorite battle in naruto is the naruto vs sasuke (watrefall battle)..that battle was absolutly EPIC i loved it so much..sasuke standing on madaras statue and naruto on hashiramas statue...especialy after madara seing to naruto in iron country that he sees hashirama in him and that sasuke and naruto where chosen by fate to carry on theyr fight...the fight of the uchiha blood vs the senju blood line..and it shows that sasuke realy cares for naruto and thinks of him as a close friend...but unfortunetly he has to get stronger by any means necesary( the anvengers path)

I know you're looking for a different battle but I have to admit this is absolutely my favorite battle in the series as well. Later on both naruto and sasuke have plenty of very emotional life changing fights, but none of the fights compare to when they fought each other. The battle was so intense that they almost accidentally created a bijuu bomb. . . at the age of 14! It is the best battle to show how much potential these two ninja had because they push their limits so far past where anyone else could have taken them to the point that most jounin level ninja wouldn't have been able to easily enter the battle. Talk about impressive. Not to mention that the animation was flawless. I've seen that animator destroy some battles (thinking pain vs 8 tail kyuubi), but in this one he did a fantastic job. All in all it was the best battle in my opinion.

Most people forget this, but one of the most challenging battles for the animators are the ones that involve Gaara. That's because, his sand movements are discretely presented in the manga, but they have to be smooth, fluid and beautifully presented in anime.

I personally feel, Gaara's battles involve lots of imagination from animators point of view and his battles with Kimimaru Kayuga and Diedara are the best battles according to me. Kakuzu-Hidan vs Kakashi-Team 10 comes a close 3rd. Sasuke vs Naruto and Sasuke vs Diedara wraps up my Top 5.

I probably feel that Danzou vs Sasuke would eclipse all the above fights if animators are brilliant in depicting that fight.

i have to agree to..about the fight betwen naruto and pain..i mean the episode when naruto transforms in the kyubi(straight to 4 tails..nice:D)anyway the animation on that episode was....well....absolutely horible...and it was only that episode....im wandering what happend then hehe

well i cant disagree with you every1 with his preferinces..and ya..i cant wait for the battle betwen sasuke and danzo....it will be superb....so close..hes curently at the raiekage(i realy dont like the raikage:DD)

Indeed, really looking forward to Sasuke vs Danzo. As for my favourite episode so far, it's probably Kakuzu/Hidan vs Team 10/Kakashi. I can't really explain why, I just think everything about it was amazingly well done and epic. Another great fight would be Gaara vs Deidara, brilliant is the only word I can think of.

My favorite battle...
That's really tough, but I'm gonna go with Sasuke vs. Itachi. It was epicly epic, and nobody can say otherwise. Despite the fact that my favorite character died, it was still epic.

My second would have to be Naruto vs. Sasuke, and third would be Shikamaru vs. Temari(Chuunin exams, he lost, BUT IT WAS EPIC.)

Lol. Just remembered how Shikamaru beat the sound village girl XD

Personally for me Uchicha fights are more interesting than any other, because of the style and range of fighting..

Itachi vs Sasuke. The most emotional and long waited battle in Naruto universe..
Sasuke vs Danzo. It's the best animated battle I think.
Sasuke vs Kages was quite nice for me..

From short fights:
Kakashi vs Pain makes me almost cry every time.. It's so tragic and sad..

I'm looking forward to Madara vs 5kage to be animated perfectly..

Hands down, Chiyo+Sakuara vs. Sasori
