Last I checked this is not RPing. This is more like... Chat RPing. Which is completely different.

Rping is usually where somebody CREATES a character(usually)and starts writing a story focusing on their character. Then someone else builds off of that with their own character. Creating one big intermingled multi-written story.
This keeps getting bigger, with more people, and different ideas, and new stories form out of the old one, ongoing until the writers let the topic die or run out of ideas.
Thats how RPs are supposed to be. Not: Im (blank) who wants to fight!?
And then everybody goes completely off topic.
Its depressing reading all your so-called "RPs."

That's actually a great idea, try to post a similar suggestion topic like this in the suggestion forums so admins can take this into consideration.

I find this idea interesting. maybe we should give a stat amount depending on level. for instance if you are gennin you are allowed 45 points to divide amongst ninjutsu, taijutsu, genjutsu, stam, ect (same format as out ranking system). then each time you gain a new rank you get X amount of points to add to your stats.

Yeah, and you could buy jutsus for your points, like this:
Genin = 50 point
Chuunin = 75 point
Jonin = 125 point
Kage = 175 point

You can buy stats (1 stats = 1 point)
And you can buy Jutsu, like this:
D-rank jutsu = 10 points
C-rank jutsu = 30 points
B-rank jutsu = 70 points
A-rank jutsu = 120 points
S-rank jutsu = 160 points

Remember to buy some jutsus too, cause it'll help you, if you use them right, but you shouldn't only buy jutsu for they requires chakra, and you have a limit of chakra, so remember to buy stats too!

And some one post-write his training then other give him potints but to BUY jutsus is kinda werid meybe train..

And there is those rules for matches (My suggestion):

• You've two things to take care of. Your Stamina, which shows your life, and Fatigue(it means the less stamina you've got, the less you can fight at full power). And your Chakra, which shows how many jutsus you can do (B-rank for example, could cost about (you got about 100 chakra points) 35 points).
• You have to fight fair, and your moves has to be realistic.
• If you win you'll get 5 additional experience points.
• The more matches you're in, the more stamina you loses.

Those are interesting ideas for a game maybe, you're all still missing the point though.

RPs are stories, not just fighting. Think of books, it's like writing a book, but working with multiple people.

Example:
(First Poster) Rules, restrictions, basic storyline, objective for good, objective for bad, etc.
Character form:
Name:
Age:
Rank:
Weapons:
Best Jutsu:
Summon Group:
Element(s):

Writes first part of the story, a couple paragraphs, maybe, or a bit more. Just to get things started.


(Second Poster)

[Character Form]

Then the next person posts a little bit, focusing on their character, maybe working off the previous poster's part to merge them together. Like if the first person writes about their character going to a food place, or leaving the Hokage's office with a new mission, the Second Poster's character can run into them, maybe they're old friends or something?


(First Poster)/(Third Poster)

(If third poster, [character form])
(if first poster, continues where the second left off, maybe continuing a conversation, answering a question they asked in previous post, etc.)
(If third poster, writes something focusing on their character, similar to first or second)

And this continues. Each post is usually 1 - 3 paragraphs long, with acceptable grammar, spelling, punctuation, etc.

This is how I envision RPs are supposed to be, if you like I can link an RP I started on another forum as an example.

I'll probably make a tips topic someday, and teach whoever wants to learn. You can use that RP I posted as an example to help you. It should show you how to really RP.

Most of the time there are Canon Characters available for use, Canon Characters are characters from video games, movies, books, etc. That already exist, Original Characters are people you create yourself. My main character for RPs is Ryu. Sometimes Ryuzaki, a few other names... etc. But they're all pretty much the same XD
Characters differ from RP to RP, depending on what the RP is about.

Yeap..this forum was made for stories, and our imaginations. But instead, we put names of Characters and people will take about them..

I have another idea.
Instead of making a new topic for each new character, how about we make a character in a single topic? And then you can edit your character whenever you feel like it.

IMO there should be 2 topics for each story/ separate RP. One topic should have data cards on all the characters while the second would be a story only topic.
So that means we'll have |Naruto RP|--->|"Name of RP"|--->|Characters| |Story|
| |"Name of RP2"| and etc.
