I'm just posting this so everyone will be aware that there is a new game coming up. It begins from the original Naruto anime and goes up the start of the war in Naruto Shippuden. It looks interesting and has a lot of "new" characters (the Kages, Obito, etc). Spring 2012 is the release date. I will post info as I get it.

I've been watching lots of videos on youtube. It seems they fixed a lot of the problems with Storm 2. Guardbreaking is way easier now, which was a pain if somebody just sat and blocked everything and never got their guard broken. Grabs are in real time, which means items/support can interrupt them.(Hells to the yeah!) You can't begin an air combo immediately after substituting either, which is good, because it always screwed up my counter jutsu plans anyways.
A lot of people are saying that ALL CHARACTERS are confirmed as playable, and that there wont be any 'support only characters'. Which is what they said about Storm 2.(Storm 1 had a lot of support only chars.) Hopefully these aren't just rumors, I'd love to play as Darui, his jutsu in the game looks beast.
The addition of Raikage will make playing as B much more enjoyable, as he'll finally have some real support characters.
Sasuke's Susano'o attacks are epic, in his awakening his Susano'o is holding a ball of fire in one hand and a sword in the other. It can shoot arrows, and his jutsu is amaterasu(similar to Itachi's awakening in Storm 2, just with arrows and no shield.)
Hopefully they fixed Lee's move set. His 'jutsu' was crap in Storm 2, and his combos were easily substituted, which made attacking in general a dangerous gamble. They changed up a lot of the characters Ultimate Jutsus as well. Guy's is more flourishing, and they brought back Kakashi's old 'double Raikiri' Ultimate. But this is because they split his character into 'Kakashi', and 'Kakashi Mangekyo Sharingan'. Which is epic.
God, I cannot wait for this game.

Just watching a few vid's on Youtube, Sasuke looks REALLY overpowered and A looks pretty weak. I hope they tweek stuff like this to make it more realistic.

The only thing I don't like about this game is that it's like a Naruto ultimate ninja storm 2.5. It will still be a great game. But if they waiting another year the manga might be over and they could have characters like Darui as fully playable since the story would have included the war. But I'm still gonna get it for ps3

It just depends, Sasuke may look extremely overpowered, but so did SM Naruto in Storm 2. (I crapped myself my first fight online, but he was a noob too, so I ended up getting lucky.) Their moves are flashy and extremely powerful looking, but they're not really. Especially if you know the characters' moves, you can find their weaknesses. Example: recovery time, range, tracking, how easily is it KnJ'd? etc. Turns out, SM Naruto is a horrible character if you don't know how to use him. His awakening is the second best in the game(if you know how to use it.), and his moves do a lot of damage, but they're hard to hit with.(unless you know how to use them.)

SM Naruto fell into the High Tier, because he had good moves, but difficult to use unless you understand them.

Anyways... the point is, he's most likely not as good as he looks against the computers. Lol.

I've never played a Naruto game before so I'm not sure how it'll work out but as Uchiha said, he probably just has a high learning curve.

He's not overpowered in Storm 2. At all.

Using fireball jutsu is a sure way to get team-ultimate jutsu'ed, Kirin is hard to hit with(unless they're immobile), and Chidori true-spear is so easy to block/counter it's ridiculous. Sasuke Taka's awakening is overpowered, but all you have to do is dodge around and it's useless.
Sasuke is a very interesting character to use, and one of my favorites to play as.

But you're right, A looks really slow and underpowered... Maybe because his awakening is super powerful? I don't know, but in Storm 2, the weaker the character the greater the awakening.(Lee for instance, total trash at first, but once you're in awakening he's the best character in the game. lol.)

Itachi's awakening was a disgrace. All anyone does is spam dash and combo. So I dash back.(with support, lol.) And when not in awakening all you ever hear is "fireball jutsu!" over, and over, and over, and over again... and then his tilt, gah, the crows :C So annoying. I faced this one guy that did nothing but use his tilt over and over again. I swear, I have never seen a skilled Itachi user.
I find it easier to outlast awakenings as Naruto. But yeah, all the rasengan users are really good at tanking awakenings.

I'm gonna post the stereotypical categories people are put in online, and you tell me which one you fit most into, okay?

-Long Range Spammer - (Usuall people using Deidara, Itachi, Shino, etc.) These people usually just spam jutsu/ranged comboes and never really fight.

-Defensive - Likes to stay back and let support mainly fight, while throwing in a jutsu/combo every once in a while.

-Offensive - Likes to rush in, pressure, and keep you suppressed while dishing out damage with lots of jutsu/combos.

-Turbo Substitutioner - Uses a turbo controller to substitute EVERYTHING. I've only faced one guy like that, and I got extremely lucky and managed to Ultimate Jutsu him at the end.

-Balanced - Can fight both long range and close range, mixing jutsu with support, etc. Considered spam by the people they defeat.

-Tactitioner - Waits for the other player to attack before countering and hitting with whatever is most appropriate.

-Jutsu Spammer - Like spamming rasengan over, and over, and over... or Kiba's fang-over-fang, both are annoying and used as spam a lot.

-Epic Spammer - Spams everything they've got, all the time.

-Ultimate Spammer - Substitutes before immediately using an ultimate jutsu, never attacking with anything else.

-n00B/Professional - Uses all possible tactics/abilities/intuition/and resources available to them to win. Considered noobs only because they win without resorting to spam, and usually whoever they beat is an epic spammer.

I'm an n00B/Professional, lol.
I hope they fix the Team Ultimate guarding bugs,(Where it hits you even if you're blocking, really annoying.)

^ I wouldnt say itachi is a long rang spammer, because fireball justu can easly be avoided and countered if you have Kirin Sasuke.

Shino's awake is epic and deidara can easly be rhaped, if you know his weakspots.

I wasn't saying Itachi is mainly a long range spammer, but a lot of people try. Most spammers get rhaped, unless they're really good at spamming. This one guy I fought was so good at spamming with Shino it was retarded.
