Unlike other fights Orochimaru has been in, this is the only time I've actually seen him fight full and all-out. Not to mention that Shodaime and Nidaime look absolutely amazing and while Sarutobi loses, I kind of felt that everyone on the outside just stood their and didn't do anything.

I totally agree, this was a very underrated fight. We are talking about four of the strongest ninja the leaf has ever produced, some would argue that it was in fact the four strongest ninja in the leafs history(though I'd take out orochimaru and put in minato before agreeing  ). The most disappointing parts are A) the anbu leader who was watching was totally helpess in stopping a severely wounded orochimaru from fleeing (I expected the anbu leader to be MUCH more bad ass) B) Jiraiya wasn't able to join in and help sarutobi, since he has as much right to join that fight as anybody else around. It makes me wonder how the fight would have gone if it happened post time lapse, after kishimoto had developed more back story about each of these characters and about the leaf village itself. I think we would've seen a fight of higher caliber then any other we've seen (including sasuke vs itachi and naruto vs pain) But all in all, this was a very great battle. _________________

It's my second favorite fight, after Sasuke vs Itachi, i've stated this before, it's awesome, with the most powerful Shinobi we knew back then, and has so much background story in it, that kept getting filled up in the arcs that came after it, so up until the time skip, half the chapters always took me back to the Orochimaru-Sarutobi relationship of student-master, with more and more gaps being filled up.

Yeah I agree This battle probably was onthe highest level(below Pain vs Jiraiya probably).But for me the result of the fight wasn't predictable for me , i didn't expect that Sarutobi will seal only orichimaru's hands .

This battle is simply just one of the most awsome battles in the whole Naruto series. Two great ninjas fighting, and two more beeing brought back from the dead to join. Sensei vs Pupil, I just love when that happens. :3 (I used to fight one of my sensei all the time, but I lost though. He were much older and better than me xD But it was fun. :3)

It's my number 3 favorite fight so far. Sarutobi really is amazing, even against The 1st and 2nd he almost won. The only thing that prevented him from doing so is his age, he ran out of energy and couldn't finish the jutsu. :\
Im pretty sure I accidentally skipped an episode during their fight though, because I never saw Sarutobi stabbed with the sword, or the Monkey king get injured. Or maybe I wasn't supposed to see that... Dunno.

Jiraiya vs. Pain
Naruto vs. Sasuke
Sarutobi vs. Orochimaru

Their last battle, where Itachi planned every single bit of it to save Sasuke and end his own life.
Epicness on Itachi's part. Just proves Sasuke is a pansy.

Zetsu watched Jiraiya vs. Pain,Pain vs Naruto,Naruto vs Sasuke but He was just impressed from Itachi VS Sasuke-that was definitely the best battle in Part II.

I agree. Any battle where Itachi is involved is epic win. XD
Orochimaru's abilities are weird and freakish. He can puke himself up and the other part dies, and stuff. What the heck is up with that?

this was the best fight back then after the fights between sasuke and naruto and naruto vs gaara
and other battles are sasuke vs gaara, naruto vs neji, shikamaru vs temari
